Course Registration Guide

Welcome to the Guide for Course Registration!

Along the side you will find advertisements assembled by the teachers of the courses to give you more in-depth information about their courses and to guide you in your selection of electives and AP courses. If there's a course you're interested in and need more information about, but is not listed, please contact the current teacher of the course for more information.

Hard to believe, but we’re already making plans for the next school year! February is registration month for students to request their 2020-2021 courses. Throughout January, students will be receiving materials,  information, and guidance from their counselors in their Seminar classes. Additionally, counselors will be hosting parent meetings in the evenings so parents can help students make informed choices when requesting courses.

Grade level registration is staggered throughout the month to coincide with counselor visits to Seminar, and special evening parent information sessions put on by the counselors. On an assigned day, students will use our PowerSchool Class Registration system to input their requests.

On Tuesday, January 14, Grades 8-11 will attend the Elective and AP Fair during their Seminar Period. This will be a chance for all students entering the High School in the coming year to speak to current teachers of the courses and ask questions about the course content, workload, and pace. 7th grade students have more limited options for Elective choices, and many questions can be answered during the Seminar and Parent presentations.

Students will have a dedicated day to register for their classes in their Seminar classes. Then, the class registration will remain open until February 28 to allow for students to ask questions of their counselors and teachers, and edit their requests as necessary. Students will need to make an appointment with their counselors to edit their course requests. Students who do not complete their registration by 2/28 will have counselors select courses for them based on graduation needs and course availability.
