UPA offers a variety of rigorous standards-based courses that meet the California academic content standards. These courses offered meet the University of California’s “a-g” requirements. Our goal is to give students a solid academic foundation and a passion for lifelong learning. Our academic program includes both Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses that will help solidify academic skills students will need in a college atmosphere.

All Honors and AP courses have been approved by the UC and CSU systems and qualify for Honors or AP credit. We currently offer honors courses in math and science as well as AP courses in English, Science, Math, Social Science, and World Language. The AP courses are designed to prepare students for the AP test and can earn students college credit.

In order to enroll in any Honors/AP courses, students must first seek approval from their current teacher, parents, and counselors prior to enrollment. Certain course prerequisites may apply.
